National Parks are among the best places to watch birds.
Nearly every imaginable bird habitat, from arctic tundra
to tropical rainforests, are represented in our National
Parks.
National Parks provide critical breeding, migratory
stop-over and wintering habitat for a great variety of
birds. Indeed, over 40 National Park Service sites have
been designated as "Globally Important Bird Areas"
by conservation organizations.

Visiting National Parks will almost always guarantee a
great birding trip. Plus visiting National Parks and enjoying
them is always a great way to support them. We have a
couple we would like to recommend for great birding trips:
One Park. Four Seasons. Countless Adventures. Unmatched
scenery, year-round recreation, and a sense of timeless
peace are but a few reasons that Yosemite is close to
the hearts of so many.

Thousands of delicately carved spires rise in brilliant
color from the amphitheaters of Bryce Canyon National
Park. Millions of years of wind, water and geologic mayhem
have shaped and etched the pink cliffs of Bryce Canyon
National Park, which isn't actually a canyon, but the
eastern slope of the Paunsaguant Plateau

Glacier capped mountains, wild Pacific coast and magnificent
stands of old-growth forests, including temperate rain
forests -- at Olympic National Park, you can find all
three. About 95% of the park is designated wilderness,
which further protects these diverse and spectacular ecosystems.
Olympic is also known for its biological diversity. Isolated
for eons by glacial ice, and later the waters of Puget
Sound and the Strait of Juan de Fuca, the Olympic Peninsula
has developed its own distinct array of plants and animals.
Eight kinds of plants and 15 kinds of animals are found
on the peninsula but no where else on Earth.
Everglades National Park is the only subtropical preserve
in North America. It contains both temperate and tropical
plant communities, including sawgrass prairies, mangrove
and cypress swamps, pinelands, and hardwood hammocks,
as well as marine and estuarine environments. The park
is known for its rich bird life, particularly large wading
birds, such as the roseate spoonbill, wood stork, great
blue heron and a variety of egrets. It is also the only
place in the world where alligators and crocodiles exist
side by side.
Everglades National Park has been designated a World Heritage
Site, an International Biosphere Reserve, and a Wetland
of International Importance.
Zion is an ancient Hebrew word meaning a place of
refuge or sanctuary. Protected within the park's 229 square
miles is a dramatic landscape of sculptured canyons and
soaring cliffs. Zion is located at the junction of the
Colorado Plateau, Great Basin and Mojave Desert provinces.
This unique geography and the variety of life zones within
the park make Zion significant as a place of unusual plant
and animal diversity.
