We are pleased to announce a special program for this,
our tenth festival year. On Friday evening, May 11th,
our program will take place at Fallon's own Barkley
Theater beginning at 6:00pm. We will be joined by actor
Kaiulani Lee, who wrote and performs a one woman, two-act
play in which she portrays Rachel Carson. Ms. Lee has
been performing her play, entitled "A Sense of
Wonder" throughout the United States for over ten
years. Not only is this year’s special because it’s
our tenth, but this production is extra special because
May 27th is Rachel Carson’s 100th birthday. Rachel Carson
was a marine biologist and zoologist best known for
her book, Silent Spring, which alerted the world to
the dangers of chemical pesticides and launched our
modern environmental movement. To read more about Rachel
Carson and Ms. Lee, please visit www.kaiulanilee.com.
To partake of this wonderful, inspiring performance,
please join us during Spring Wings by reserving a seat
at the Barkley Theater. Your ticket to the performance
will also include a light buffet.
This festival is sponsored by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife
Service, US Bureau of Reclamation, Fallon Convention
and Tourism Authority, Nevada Commission on Tourism,
Lahontan Audubon Society, Nevada Waterfowl Association,
Nevada Department of Wildlife, Eagle Optics, local and
national conservation agencies, and many other area
businesses and organizations. Join our growing list
