Southwest Wings Birding and Nature Festival
August 1 - 5, 2007
Sierra Vista, Arizona
Join us for the 16th Annual Southwest Wings Birding
and Nature Festival!
This year’s festival will be held near the base of the
Huachuca Mountains, just minutes from some of the best
birding in the United States, at the Windemere Hotel
and Conference Center , Sierra Vista, Arizona.

Our Keynote Speaker will be Author and naturalist Scott
Weidensaul. Scott has written more than two dozen books
on natural history, including : Living on the Wind:
Across the Hemisphere with Migratory Birds, a Pulitzer
Prize finalist; The Ghost with Trembling Wings, about
the search for species that may or may not be extinct;
and his most recent book, Return to Wild America:
A Yearlong Search for the Continent's Natural Soul.
He lectures widely on wildlife and environmental topics,
and is an active field researcher, specializing in birds
of prey and hummingbirds. He lives in the Appalachians
of eastern Pennsylvania.
There will be a special birding trip and a book signing
with Scott.
We are pleased to again have artist Lisa Walraven who
will design the theme, "Quail of Southeastern Arizona",
for this year's festival.
