Having the right gear for bird watching can some times
make or break a trip. As we all know a nice sunny day
can quickly change into to rainy day and like most die
hard birders… Rain or Shine. So make sure you go out with
all the gear you need for any kind of condition.
We have compiled a list of gear any avid birder should
invest in, so weather doesn't have to dictate whether
you have a good trip or not.

Keeping your maps and birding logs dry and
clean is always difficult but with these water

Most of the best places to go bird watching
take a bit of a climb to get to. Hiking boots
or a good pair of trail shoes is a most. Part
of birding involves a little mud on the boots.
Any time you go on the trail it’s a good idea
to bring supplies: water, munchies, and rain
gear. A comfortable pack to carry all that
gear is key. Make sure you have the right
size pack for the right trip.
It's always a relief when it starts to rain
and you remembered to pack your "just
in-case" rain jacket. It's so nice to
be able to enjoy your birding trip even if
you get caught in a rainstorm.
It's inevitable.. But at least you can be
prepared for those splinters, blisters, map
cuts, head aches, and well just about every
thing that could happen. A first aid kit is
always a good idea.
